Additional Responsibilities:
• Partner with Technical Leads and Test Engineers to support integration and verification of 3G/4G WWAN technology into diverse categories of devices.
• Background in Certification Level testing using Telecom Industry and client Standards (EIA/TIA98/2000/866/898/919/3GPP/3GPP2//LTE)
• Functionally operate and configure of RF/Wireless test and measurement equipment:
o Anritsu ME7873L Test System
o Spirent 8100 eAirAccess Test Platforms/AT4 , C2K Taskit Systems
o R&S CMU200/CMW500
• Utilize LTE/CDMA/EVDO diagnostic monitor tools including Qualcomm’s QXDM, Spirent’s UDM, Wireshark to support troubleshooting activities.
• Support dedicated Product Development Engineers with 4G Pre-certification activities, providing technical guidance, de-bug and issue resolution as needed.
• Use developed PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) to provide updates to Engineering /Program Manager(s) and summary test reports to customers
• Ability to train others on technical and non-technical subjects when required.
• Responsible for working with internal and external teams and customers to integrate 4G/3G WWAN into broad categories of devices.
• Execute and develop work flows and processes between varied client groups in all aspects of device testing and development.
• Work flows include interpreting device requirements, test plans, test execution and analysis of technical issues.
Required Skills:
• Minimum 2-year degree ASEE required with extensive work experience
• Be a self-starter, highly-organized, and skilled at driving technical projects through development to commercialization.
• Demonstrate expertise in a variety of wireless technologies including: 4G LTE, CDMA, legacy 3GPP, WiFi, and ancillary technologies e.g. UICC/SIM, PCIe, IMS, USB
• Have a proven track record of Certification testing and trouble-shooting wireless devices with a solid understanding of best design practices for RF conformance.
• Establish working relationships with OEM's, test equipment vendors, and 3rd party labs.
• Work with state of the art automated test platforms, understand and interpret the outputs of VZW and Telecom Industry (3GPP2, CTIA) test plans executed on these platforms
• Work collaboratively in a team environment, exercising good communication skills
Preferred Experience & Education:
• Prefer 4-year degree BSEE/MSEE required with a strong background in wireless devices
• Good mobile telecommunications industry knowledge, preferably including expertise with handset manufacturers, (Motorola. Samsung, LG) network equipment vendors, chipset vendors, and/or test equipment vendors
• Background working in a Product Development environment, focused on HW/SW integration
• Working knowledge of automated Certification Testing to Telecommunications industry standards.
