Location: Newport News, Virginia
Average Annual Compensation: $45,800 to $53,900
Additional Responsibilities:
• Creating search areas within their geographic area of responsibility
• Working with the RF Team on evaluating Search Area candidates and creating RF designs
• Work closely with Site Acquisition on site evaluation
• Work with the performance team to understand area and issues within his/her sector; and working with System Performance counterpart to understand issues and help reduce Lost Calls and Ineffective Attempts within their sector
• Responsible for Optimizing the 4G Network and work closely with the System Performance/RF teams in optimizing the 4G system
• Perform FCC/FAA filing when needed
• Performing drive testing to evaluate search area candidate as necessary and conduct live Network/System testing
• Work on the planning of future 4G carriers and create RF designs to be submitted to the Implementation team
• Review Radio Frequency Exposure reports
Required Skills:
• Associates Degree is Required
• Must Be Able To Come In For An In Person Interview
• 2+ years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications’ industry
• Must have a driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Proficient in office computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
• Good analytical, interpersonal, Project Management and communications skills
• General understanding and or working knowledge in one or more of the following platforms and/or technologies:
o Voice cells infrastructure including: Lucent, Motorola, Nortel, CDMA data
o Digital Communications including: DS1, DS3, Fiber, ISDN
o Operating systems and applications including: UNIX, Windows, MS Office
o Wireless data service including: CDPD, CDMA, CSD, STP, RF Fingerprinting Analog, CDMA, Flexent Modular cells (CDMA & PCS), Alcatel Lucent 3G&4G equipment, pilot scanners, baseline equipment, spectrum analyzers RF System Optimization techniques for voice and data
• Should have a good understanding of engineering concepts, and must show aptitude and desire to learn and advance in a technical field
Preferred Experience & Education:
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
